| Basic Hourly Pay Rate |
This is the rate that the temp states on their profile on the website – the hourly rate for which they would work. |
| Holiday and Sickness Pay |
Since the introduction of the Working Time Directive and Statutory Sick Pay for temporary workers, employers are required to make a pro rata payment to cover statutory holidays and sick absences. See “The Working Times Regulations (1998)” and “The Working Time (Amendment) Regulations 2003” . This amount, by law, cannot be added to the temp's pay, but is accrued on the temp's behalf and either paid to them when they take holiday, or when they complete their placement. |
| Temp's Total Pay |
The temp's basic pay plus the holiday and sickness pay they receive. Although this is not the rate that the temp receives, it is in effect the amount they are being paid taking into account the money accrued for Holiday and Sickness Pay. |
| Employer's NIC |
This is the standard National Insurance Contribution rate payable (12.8%). Class 1 National Insurance Contributions have a threshold of £97 per week (or £420 per month) below which the employer and employee don't have to make any National Insurance Contributions. |

| Using this website search, select and book a temp directly online. |
Simply follow the straight-forward process (which you will be taken through step-by-step), place your job on the job board and search for temps suitable for your requirement. Using this method you act as the recruiter and are able to send the job to our temps and to communicate online. At no point during this online recruitment process are personal contact details provided. | 3. Permanent Placement Fee – An agreed percentage of first years salary. |
| When you want to fill a permanent position get a competitive quote from the Book a Temp recruitment partner agency in your area. |
| A client will be entitled to a refund if they take on a temp in a permanent position but that temp then leaves the clients employment within a certain timescale. This is applicable if either the client or temp decides to terminate the contract between them.
Refund to be agreed with the partner recruitment agency. |
| 4. Temp to Perm Fees |
| This is where a client takes somebody on a temporary basis then on full time thus removing that temp from our data base of available temps. |
If a client has used the temp on a temporary basis before taking on full time Book a Temp’s partner recruitment agency will offer a discount to the client depending on the length of time they have employed on a temp basis.
